At ServiceMaster of Seattle and ServiceMaster by SRS

Below is a list of the Continued Education classes that we are certified by the state of Washington to teach. We teach classes about once a month, March through November at our facilities in Bellevue or Everett, or at your location by request. Please contact the Business Development Specialist or Restoration Project Manager that you are working with to request a class or the class schedule, or email marketing managers Kirk Caswell (kcaswell@soseattle.com) and Karen Barr (kbarr@soseattle.com). Each class is set up for 10 to 15 attendees for an ideal learning environment. A schedule of upcoming classes and events can also be found on our Facebook page.

Please remember that you cannot receive state credit if you have already received credit for that course number within the last 2 years. In this exciting class, you will learn what to do and what not to do when water damage occurs. We will teach you advice to give your clients when they call in a water loss, thus reducing claim costs. We will shuttle over to our NEW ServiceMaster Restore location to observe demonstrations of some of the latest technology designed to mitigate water damage as quickly and inexpensively as possible. Afterwards, Sumerian Brewery Co. will host an over 21 tasting event.

This class is a practical look at ethical decision-making, instead of relying on the “gut feeling”. The process contained in this program takes the decision-maker through several filters which ensure that all parties affected by the decision will be considered. After completing this program, participants will be able to identify the reason why ethics are important, define ethics/values, describe foundational and situational ethics, identify sources of ethical framework and practice methods of decision marking.

This program introduces the science of mold and explores the potentially harmful effects of mold on building materials and occupants. Participants learn how mold grows, how it spreads and what actions should be taken to remove mold in a safe and reasonable manner. Procedures such as containment, negative air and the proper use of personal protective equipment are also covered.
